Knebworh House and gardens.

The original house built in the 16th century by Sir Robert Lytton consisted of 4 sides enclosing a courtyard but in the 19th century like Hatfield House earlier, 3 sides were pulled down and rebuilt much as we see it now.

In Stapleford just a few miles north of Hertford is "The Papillon" pub and restaurant. The "Hertfordshire Camera" team can definitely recommend the restaurant but you had best phone for a booking on 01992 535 123 as its very popular.
